It's compost awareness week! We will be promoting a circular food system and raising funds for future programs by selling compost generously donated by the SMSC-ORF - the same facility that processes the food waste collected at the New Prague drop-off site. Compost will be sold for $5 per bag (bring your own bag or bucket to save $1)
In addition, we are thrilled to offer a free make-and-take activity for children aged 12 and under, just in time for Mother's Day! Kids can write a heartfelt message on a terracotta pot and plant a seed to give as a gift to their mom or a loved one.
Representatives from the City of New Prague will also be present to help the residents of Scott and Le Sueur counties register for the New Prague Household Organics Drop-off site.
We sincerely hope that you can join us and take part in supporting our mission, practicing sustainable habits, and celebrating Mother's Day in a unique way. Let's make a difference for our planet and future generations. We look forward to seeing you there!
